Obituary for Douglas Widner

Douglas Widner 65, husband of Clara Hobbs Widner, passed away March 25, 2017 in Lexington, Kentucky. He was born September 2, 1951 in Denver, Colorado to Dona Anderson Widner of Seattle, Washington and the late Derrell E. Widner. He worked at Berea College as the Web Communications Manager and was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa at the University of Colorado, class of 1977. He was a Radioman 3rd Class for the U.S. Coast Guard during the Vietnam Era.



Along with his wife Clara of Richmond, he is survived by his daughters, Lisa Potter (Jason Potter) and Angie Yeager (Brian Yeager), grandchildren, Alexandria, Stephanie, Brandon, Jonathan, Brian Jr., Zachary, and Kelsey, great grandchildren, Ethan, Saniaa, and Zoe, sister, Willow Flint (Ken Flint) of Seattle, Washington, and special nephew, Luke Van Valkinbur. He was preceded in death by his infant daughter and father.
