Obituary for Durard T. Glass

Durard T. Glass, 90, husband of Ann Ritchey, passed away Saturday, December 23, 2017. He was born June 13, 1927 in Owen County, Kentucky to the late Wilkes and Marcella Leach Glass. He was a member of Georgetown Baptist Church and attended Dry Run Baptist Church. He retired from IBM after 33 years and later retired from Wal-Mart as a greeter. Durard was a member of several different bowling leagues up until 2016.

Along with his wife, he is survived by his children, Brenda (Chester) Wilson, of Georgetown, Steven (Debbie) Glass, of Owenton, Kathy Rogers of Georgetown, and Sandy (Bud) Forsee, of Owenton, 8 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and a half sister, Emily Burford. Durard is preceded in death by half sister, Eula Mae Glass, and sisters, Jean Murphy, Vivian House, and Verna Warfield. He is also preceded in death by Hattie Norman Bailey Glass, to whom he was married for over 50 years, and his first wife, Imogene Payne Glass. The family would like to give recognition to Durard's special caregiver, Helen Sears.

Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 pm, Friday, at Tucker, Yocum, & Wilson Funeral Home. Services will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, at the funeral home with Rev. Rob Ginter officiating. Burial will be in Crestlawn Memorial Gardens with the following serving as pallbearers, Taylor Wilson, Jacob Wilson, Michael Wilson, Jody Glass, Evan Rogers, Randy Stafford, Will Curtis, and Wesley Claycomb. Honorary pallbearers will be Chester Wilson, Bud Forsee, Steven Glass, Bob Wright, Virgil Marshall, and Frank Darnell. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at
