Obituary for George Elbridge Gray, III

George Elbridge Gray, III, 76, widower of Wanda Joyce Mounce Gray, passed away Saturday, May 5, 2018 in Leesburg, Kentucky. He was born in Scott County, Kentucky on July 19, 1941 to the late George E. and Lucille Cook Gray, II. He worked at L & N Railroad for over 30 years and retired from there as a Track Forman. George was a member of Leesburg Christian Church, and he enjoyed fishing and softball.

He is survived by sons, Scott (Debbie) Gray, Tony (Tracey) Gray, both of Cynthiana, Kentucky, and Nicholas (Beth) Gray of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, grandchildren, Shelby (Ethan) Beum, Destyni Gray, and her fiancee' Noah Graves, Autumn Gray, Mikayla Gray, and her fiancee' John Thompson, Justin (Gray) Butcher, and Alivia Gray, brother, Larry Gray of Cynthiana, Kentucky. George was preceded in death by brother and sisters, Jerry Gray, Celia Wiggin, Marion Mattox, Juanita Wallace, and Sadie Peters.

Visitation for George will be held on Tuesday, May 8th from 5:00pm to 9:00 pm at Tucker, Yocum, & Wilson Funeral Home. Service is scheduled for Wednesday at 11:00am with Minister Sammy Harris and Minister Zach Pergram officiating. Burial will be in Georgetown Cemetery, with the following serving as pallbearers, Ethan Beum, John Thompson, Noah Graves, Shane Kearns, Jason Lemaster, and John Thomas. Honorary pallbearers are Shelby (Gray) Beum, Mikayla Gray, Justin (Gray) Butcher, Alivia Gray, Destyni Gray, and Autumn Gray.
