Obituary for J.W. Reynolds

J.W. Reynolds, 91, widower of Barbara Robey Reynolds, passed away June 2, 2018 in Lexington. He was born April 15, 1927 in Scott County to the late Raymond and Jenny McCourt Reynolds.

J.W. was the owner and operator of Reynolds and Son Grocery. He was a World War II Navy Veteran, a member of Stamping Ground Baptist Church, a 50 year member of Scott Lodge F&AM, and a member of the Stamping Ground Ruitan Club.

He is survived by his children, Vickie (Roy) Prater of Lexington, Billy Ray (Kim) Reynolds of Elizabethtown, Kim (Barney) Booher of Georgetown; grandchildren, Michael Scott Lunsford and Buckley Booher Hancock (Kyle) both of Lexington. He was preceded in death by his sister, Jo Ann Lee; brothers, Raymond Reynolds Jr., Albert Rudolph Reynolds, and Bobby Reynolds.

Funeral services are 11am Thursday, June 7, 2018 at Tucker, Yocum, & Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Stephen Bruce officiating. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery with pallbearers being Brad Russell, Dennis Robey, Mike Mullins, Corky Grant, Billy Sargent, and Keith Mills. Honorary bearers are Wallace Wilson and Freddy Wise. Visiting hours will be 5pm-8pm Wednesday at the funeral home. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at
