Obituary for James R Mann

James R. Mann, 83, husband of Ruth Mann, passed away Wednesday, October 11, 2017. He was born December 27, 1933 in Scranton, Kentucky to the late Cordell and Mary Irene Williams Mann. He was a member of Central Church of God, and was a former member of Jaycees. James graduated from Morehead State University and later retired from Johnson Controls as an Accountant. He was an avid golfer and he excelled at it. James enjoyed all types of sports.

Along with his wife, he is survived by his son Randy (Julie) Mann
of Louisville, and daughter, Vicky (Jim) Grant of Lexington, grandchildren, Ryan Grant, Hayley Grant, Ellie Mann, Larkin Mann, CaseyJane Mann, and Teagan Mann. James is also survived by his sister, Diana Wells of Frenchburg, Kentucky.

Visitation will be Saturday, October 14, 2017 from 10:00 am -1:00 pm at Tucker, Yocum, & Wilson Funeral Home. Services will follow visitation at 1:00 pm, with Rev. Sam Glenn and Rev. Lowell Rice officiating. Burial will be in Georgetown Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ryan Grant, Larkin Mann, Rich Barker, Steve Hall, Jeff Ellington, and Scott Wells. Honorary pallbearers will be Everett Lee, Harry Ball, Carlos Doss, Patrick Cain, Tim Diddle, Jamie Barker, Steve Ellington, Phil Hall, and Jim Black. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Building Fund of Central Church of God, 700 Clayton Ave., Georgetown, Kentucky 40324.
