Obituary for John Raymond Dunn

John Raymond Dunn, 83, passed away Monday, April 17, 2017 in Frankfort, Kentucky. He was born August 8, 1933 in Sadieville, Kentucky to Beckham Dunn and Stella Katherine Barkley Dunn. John was a member of Central Church of God and also a former member of Georgetown Church of the Nazarene. Over the years, he was an employee of The Kentucky Road Department, Mallard Point & Pencil Company, Walmart, and Scott County Board of Education. John enjoyed fishing, attending church, and reading his bible.

He is survived by his brother, Buford (Juanita) Dunn, Georgetown, Kentucky, and sister, Doris Brewsaugh, Hamilton , Ohio, and a host of nieces and nephews. John is preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Bobby Dunn, Winford Dunn, Victor Dunn, Helen Hampton, and Beulah Covington. He is also survived by a special family, Judy and James Holland and their children, Christina Carpenter, Devin Holmes, David Carpenter, Austin Carpenter, and their grandsons Cooper Carpenter and Grayson Downs.

Visitation will be Saturday from 11 am - 2 pm, with service beginning at 2 pm, all at Central Church of God, (now known as Bread of Life Lutheran Church) 700 Clayton Ave., Georgetown, Kentucky with Rev. Sam Glenn officiating. Burial will be in Crestlawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers are Devin Holmes, Austin Carpenter, David Carpenter, Seth Hawkins, Tony Dunn, and Dewayne Darnell.
