Obituary for John T. "Jay" Henderson

John T. "Jay" Henderson, 84, husband of Janet Gillispie Henderson, passed away Tuesday, July 11, 2017. Born November 13, 1932 in Scott County, Kentucky, he was the son of the late William T. and Dora Carr Henderson. He was a member of Central Church of God, was a retired farmer, and also served in the US Army.

Along with his wife, John is survived by his sons, Roger Henderson of Lexington, Kentucky, Johnny (Lisa) Henderson of Versailles, Kentucky, daughters, Sandy Carol Henderson and Vickie Marie (Michael) Masterson, both of Georgetown, Kentucky. John was preceded in death by a daughter, Christina Gale Henderson. John is also survived by grandchildren, Josh (Ashley) Masterson, Jonathan Masterson, Brandon (Tara) Henderson, Megan Nicole Cook (Joshua) Burden, and Daniel (Amanda) Cook, great grandchildren, Jacob Masterson, Peyton Masterson, Carlie Burden, Kenadie Henderson, and Natalie Cook.

Funeral service is 1:00 pm Saturday, July 15, 2017 at Central Church of God, 700 Clayton Avenue, Georgetown, Kentucky with Rev. Sam Glenn and Rev. Stan Schilffarth officiating, followed by interment in Georgetown Cemetery. Pallbearers are Johnny Henderson, Roger Henderson, Josh Masterson, Jonathan Masterson, Daniel Cook, Brandon Henderson, Joshua Burden, Michael Masterson, Jacob Masterson.

Visiting hours are 11:00 am Saturday until time of service at 1:00 pm at the church.
