Obituary for Mildred Lee Gregory

Mildred Lee Crutchfield Gregory, 89, widow of Robert Miller Gregory, passed away Sunday, September 17, 2017 in Lexington, Kentucky.  Born in Woodford County, Kentucky on November 20, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Charles Grant and Annie Elizabeth Armstrong Crutchfield. Mildred was a graduate of Woodford County High School, a member of Mt. Gilead United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School and served as treasurer, and a member of the United Methodist Women.  She served as Scott County Extension Homemaker President and later as president of the nine county Bluegrass Area Extension Homemaker Association.  She provided leadership for many projects and committees among them was the Extension sponsored blood drive.  She was an active member of the Eastern Hills Homemaker Club for at least 60 years.  She was a devout Christian woman for almost 86 years, and a very giving woman who gave of her time and talents to her community.  She and Robert were married for 53 years.
She is survived by her children, Wayne (Diana) Gregory, Tom (Cathy) Gregory, Randy (Cindy) Gregory, and Paul Gregory, all of Georgetown, Kentucky, and her Chilean son, Juan Carlos Gutierrez W., of Osorno, Chilie.  Mildred is preceded in death by a son, Alan Lee Gregory, brother, Wilbur Crutchfield, and sister, Anna Lois Paul.  She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, Robert Miller (Tracy) Gregory, Christy Dolan, Paige (Shawne) Mingua, Curtis Miller (Vilma) Gregory, Amie Lee (Rodney) Goodlett, Stephanie Nicole (Nathan) Joseph, and Andrea Kay (David) Badstibner, and 17 great grandchildren.  She is survived by several nieces and nephews, including a special niece Kathy (John) Crossfield.
Funeral services will be held 11am, Friday, September 22, 2017 at Tucker, Yocum, & Wilson Funeral Home with Pastor Dustin Woods officiating. Burial will be in Versailles Cemetery in Versailles, Kentucky, with pallbearers being Bobby Gregory, Curt Gregory, Shawne Mingua, Rodney Goodlett, Nathan Joseph, and David Badstibner.  Honorary pallbearers will be Members of the Eastern Hills Homemakers. Visitation will be 5 pm - 8 pm, Thursday at the funeral home.  Online condolences may be expressed to the family at
