Obituary for Porter A. Duncan

Porter A. Duncan, 71, husband to Mary Anita Currans Duncan, passed away Thursday, August 23, 2018. Born in Scott County, Kentucky on November 6, 1946, he was the son of the late Porter C. Duncan and Dorothy Tackett Duncan Vance. Porter was self-employed as a residential contractor. He was a member of Dry Run Baptist Church, Bluegrass Christian Bass Club, and former member of the Elkhorn Bass Club. Porter was an avid fisherman and hunter.

Along with his wife, he is survived by daughters, Kim Duncan (Scott) and Shelle Stepp (Jim), all of Georgetown, grandchildren, Darrek Cains, Michael Hampton, Payton Hampton, Chase Stepp, Jessica Stepp, Breann Stepp, Brayden Stepp, and Harper Stepp, great grandchildren, Hayden, Louis, and Chelsea Cains. Porter was preceded in death by brothers, Dennis Lee Duncan and Donald Wayne Duncan.

Visitation for Porter will be held on Monday, August 27th from 5:00-8:00pm at Harmony Christian Church. Services will be 1:00 pm, Tuesday at the church with Rev. Robert Judd officiating. Burial will be in Crestlawn Memorial Gardens with pallbearers being Jim Stepp, Scott Hall, Gary Jones, Billy Perkins, Travis Garrison and Marion Sargent.
