Obituary for Ricky Dale Stokley

Ricky Dale Stokley, 64, husband of Barbara Socks Stokley, passed away April 1, 2017 in Georgetown. He was born March 13, 1953 in Fayette County to Gilliard C. and Mabel Ann Lovings Stokley. He retired after 32 years as a Senior Service Tech from Columbia Gas Company, and was a member of El Bethel Christian Church. He enjoyed the outdoors, loved hunting and spending time with his grandbabies.

Along with his wife he is survived by his son, Ricky Dale Stokley II. of Georgetown, daughter, Barbara Jane (Harold) Brandenburg of Georgetown, grandchildren, Hunter Merrick, of Somerset, Lucas and Cassidy Brandenburg of Georgetown, Matthew, Ricky, and Andrew Stokley of Georgetown, brother, Gilliard T. (Connie) Stokley of Georgetown, and sister, Judy Broughton of Lexington. He was preceded in death by sister, Diane Stokley.

Funeral services are 11am Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at Tucker, Yocum, & Wilson Funeral Home with Minister Jason Brown, Minister Donnie Collings, and Minister Derrel Cone officiating.

Burial will be in Georgetown Cemetery with pallbearers being Tommy Payne, Harold Brandenburg, Ricky Stokley II, Lucas Brandenburg, Matthew Stokley, Gil Stokley, Skeeter Stokley, and Jeff Mobley. Honorary bearers are Gary and Dana Hoffman, Vicki Dykes, Cassidy Brandenburg, Ricky Dale Stokley III, Bobby Holbert, Shorty Wainscott, Hunter Merrick.

Visiting hours are 5-8pm Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Leukemia Society 836 Euclid Avenue Suite 316 & 317 Lexington, KY 40502.
