Obituary for Willis Ray Morris

Willis Ray Morris, 83, widower of Betty Morris, passed away Thursday, May 31, 2018 in Lexington, Kentucky. He was born June 12, 1934 in Clark County, Kentucky to the late John and Bertha Estes Morris. He was a member of Northside Christian Church, a member of the McDonalds Coffee Group (ROMEO Club), and an avid fisherman. Willis loved Bluegrass and Country music, especially at Cutshaws, but most important was spending time with friends and family. He always wore a smile, never met a stranger, was Jack of all trades, no challenge was too big, and he took pride in his garden. Willis loved joking, and had a soft spot in his heart for animals. Willis was followed into God's arms by his loving companion, Sparky the miniature poodle.

Willis is survived by his son Stephen (Elizabeth Van Meter) Morris, his daughters, Debbie (Ike) Isenhoff, Rita (John) Parfitt, and Trisha (Larry) Morris-Woodall, grandchildren, Chris Vickrey, Suzanne Wyatt, Sharon Spickard, Karen Vickrey, Kim Cundiff, Daniel Morris, Aaron Morris, Dustin Warren, and Trey Woodall, great grandchildren, Camden Spickard, Hayden Davis, Jared Davis, Jenna Plummer, Dereck Plummer, Dylan Plummer, Braden Vickrey, Alex Vickrey, Abagail Vickrey, J-Neace Vickrey, Isabel Vickrey, and Josiah Vickrey.
Willis is also survived by a sister, Fannie Cobb of Georgetown. He was preceded in death by brothers, Otha, Lloyd, Raleigh, Leonard, and Hubert, brother-in-law, Dan Cobb, and grandson, Dewayne Davis.

Visitation will be 5:00-8:00 pm, Monday, at Tucker, Yocum, & Wilson Funeral Home. Service will be 11:00 am, Tuesday, at the funeral home with Pastor Nic Skinner officiating, and burial in Georgetown Cemetery. The following will serve as pallbearers, Daniel Morris, Rod Sparks, Charlie Simpson, Trey Woodall, Dustin Warren, and Chris Vickrey. Honorary pallbearers are, Les Turley, Charles Cutshaw, All Members of the McDonalds Coffee Club, and Ike Isenhoff. Memorial contributions may be given to Scott County Humane Society, P.O.
