Obituary for Margie Marie Gafford

Margie Marie Gafford, 89, wife of Richard Dean Gafford, passed away Thursday, April 19, 2018. She was born June 20, 1928 in Miamisburg, Ohio to the late David H. and Edith Roberts Thomas. Margie worked as a Forman at General Electric in the Appliance Park. She enjoyed all types of crafts, hunting, fishing, and camping.

Along with her husband, she is survived by children, Sherry (James) Jarvis of Chicago, Illinois, Darlene (Brenda) Skaggs of Lexington, Kentucky, Donna (Dave) Anderson of Wheaton, Illinois, and Jay Skaggs of Lexington, Kentucky. Margie is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, sister, Bernice Staggs of Morehead, Kentucky, and numerous nieces and nephews. Margie was preceded in death by daughter, Gladys Anita Laureys formerly of Louisville, Kentucky, brothers and sisters, Grace, Beatrice, Thelma, Albert, LeRoy, and Raymond.

Visitation will be 2:00-7:00pm, Friday, April 27, 2018, at Tucker, Yocum, & Wilson Funeral Home with service beginning at 7:00pm. Minister Vince Garmin will officiate the service. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.tuckeryocumwilson.com.
