Obituary for David Marcum

David Marcum, 76, passed away Friday, August 17, 2018 in Stamping Ground, Kentucky. He was born on October 29, 1941 in Lynch, Kentucky, to the late William Hurst and Gertrude Campbell Marcum. David was involved in FFA while in high school, Army Green Berets, loved farming, and being an outdoorsman. He loved car racing, was a diehard Chevy fan, a John Deere Tractor enthusiast, a UK fan, and enjoyed westerns.

David is survived by daughters, Pam Marcum of Lexington, Kentucky and Teri Marcum of Somerset, Kentucky, brothers Danny (Janet) Marcum of Georgetown, Roger (Maureen) Marcum of Texas, twin sister, Imogene (Don) Buban of Lexington, Saundra Thompson of Lexington, Sharon Marshall of Nicholasville, sister-in-law, Cecilia Marcum of Georgetown, numerous nieces and nephews, and special friends, Phil House and Randall McDowell. David was preceded in death by brothers Bill Marcum and Wayne Marcum, and brother-in-law, Buryl Thompson.

Memorial visitation will be 1:00pm-3:00pm, Sunday, August 26, 2018 at Tucker, Yocum, & Wilson Funeral Home. No flowers per the family's request. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.tuckeryocumwilson.com
